About Dorset Pain Clinic

Rehabilitation and Our Approach

Pain treatment should support recovery, movement and function, not just short-term symptom relief.

At Dorset Pain Clinic, we believe pain care should look beyond the scan and the injection. Persistent pain can affect strength, mobility, confidence, sleep, work and daily activities. A good treatment plan should consider the whole person.

In selected patients, an image-guided injection may reduce pain enough to allow rehabilitation to progress. In others, the main focus may be education, movement, strengthening and guided recovery.

Treatment and rehabilitation together

An injection may reduce inflammation or pain in selected cases, but it should not be seen as a replacement for rehabilitation. The best outcome often comes from combining accurate diagnosis, appropriate treatment and a realistic recovery plan.
Pathway

Our patient pathway

Approach

A realistic approach

Not all pain requires an injection. Not all scan findings require treatment. Not all patients need the same pathway. Our role is to help identify what is likely to help each patient as an individual.
A clear next step

Take the next step towards lasting relief.

If pain is stopping you from progressing with rehabilitation or daily activity, Dorset Pain Clinic can help assess the cause and discuss suitable options.
